Roadtrip update

We started this roadtrip in May. We spent the first month in Bullhead City, not an exciting destination, but we had to work and get our feet wet. This whole trip has actually been about getting our feet wet. There are many things we had not considered before we left. It is actually funny how many times we have had to downsize during a trip. Reservations are guaranteed, so you would think, and everything costs twice as much as expected. But it has still been fun. Washington was pretty and we caught up with old friends. I was sick the whole time we were there. They were gracious. We went to Socal from there and weave in and out of there several times a month. We went to the Alien festival over the 4th. What a kick. It was really small. The parade we waited an hour to see had 8 entries. The BBQ had 2 vebdors and they were out of food. But there were plenty of photo ops. Mattie was the hit. She painted herself silver. Only a few people even dressed up so people were stopping her constantly to take her picture. We are in Socal now. We went to Solvang last week, tasty place. I will update more frequently from this point on. Going to Bullhead and Flagstaff next.

No thumbs.

Sometimes it is good not to have any thumbs. While my pets slave away packing for our long trip, I spent today chasing the biggest jackrabbit I have ever seen. Yesterday I saw a squirrel. It has been a long winter and they have been- well I dont know or I would be chasing them. I was sweating it pretty good until today because I know we were low on dogfood and my favorite beefmeat treats. I heard my pets talking about how expensive the beefmeat ones were getting and since they haven't learned dog yet I have had to drop subtle hints about my preferences. They seem annoyed when I spit out the other plain biscuits and wait for the beefmeat ones first (of course afterwards I finish up the plain ones), but they seemed to have gotten the message because I smelled a box of beefmeat biscuits in the back of the car along side the dogfood today. I guess they aren't so dumb after all.

Trip Home

I have 2 pets. Their names are Tony and Shirley ( mom and dad). I scored a major victory yesterday on the ride home. While my pets were in the store I found their stash of beefmeat biscuits in the door. I cased the store and when i saw them disapear I went for the biscuits.
